Safety Bay, Swan River & Lancelin - It's great to be back in Perth!

We're now well into our Freeride and Freewave courses here in Perth. I'm always very grateful for the wonderful welcome and hospitality. It's always a pleasure to have the opportunity to coach and meet so many keen and dedicated windsurfers who revel in the excellent conditions in and around this beautiful and often windy city!

We started with our 3 day course in Safety Bay with three excelent days, sailing until we couldn't hold on any longer every day. With a mix of skills and planing conditions, everyone sailed really well and learnt a lot. We then moved into the Swan River for our Melville Waters course (shifted to Pelican Point), where we had the some early morning Easterly winds and lighter afternoon winds for skills & drills. We spent nearly 5 hours on the water each day working through fast tacks, gybes, duck gybes and a whole range of key core skills that make all the difference. There were even some swithced stance duck gybes going on!

We're now just coming  to the end of our Lancelin courses. We had a real mix of conditions, lighter wind skills training and then a stunning 4.7m and 3m swell day. Great work with a high level group working through, wave riding, upwind and downwind 360's and loops! we really made use of our time with 5-6 hours on the water regardless of the wind. It's been a great atmosphere, great people and Lancelin has been a great base for our annual Freewave course.

So I want to say a big thank you to everyone who's joined the courses, we certainly covered a lot skills and made the most of the conditions and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

More on that the meantime, sheet in, look, lean and lever that rig through those corners, wave riding and loops!

All the best

7 awesome days of windsurfing. High wind, low wind, baking sunshine and even rain. Learnt loads from Simon Bornhoft who runs a great course and is even quite good at table tennis!

Wave - To - Go ....WOW what a wonderful time in Lancalin, Simon a man with never ending energy......the re is always something you teach me in all conditions. Windsurfing with the best of the best, with Sea-lion and Daulphins over waves, chop through massive winds and a gentle breez. We covered so much in our days together, always chilling out in the evening at our group gathering of a true Ozy bar-b-q on the beach. Lancalin a place to relax yet with rush of a good blast. Simon you got me where I am today...thanks for it all.....Oh and I am coming back so whatch out !!!!!!!
