We've helped thousands to improve and we can guarantee that we can make a big difference to your windsurfing!"

Who's it for?

This course is designed for Improver-Intermediates to develop the key stages of the sport. So we'll cover the core skills that improve your kit set up, control, stance, harnessing, footstraps, early planing, waterstarts, blasting control, tacks and non-planing and planing gybes. You use use any size board you like and we have helped both the fastest learners and also those with the worst bad habits imaginable!

The Coaching

The course is run by Simon Bornhoft so you'll get the fully proven WINDWISE Skills Training System, with very specific exercises, sequences and routines to hit the parts that 'tips, videos and YouTube don't reach' don't reach. Our very specific methodology will help your windsurfing flourish and show you the gateway to your next level. Plus, as ever, we deal with any other specific nagging technique issues you're trying to overcome. We use a mix of unique WINDWISE land and on water skills training drills and exercises to get the body to do what the mind wants it to do.

What should I bring?

Unless you're hiring from us, please bring all your kit, including a board plenty big enough to easily sail in on non-planing conditions, as the course will go ahead even in non-planing conditions as there is so much we can teach you in all winds. Bring your wetsuits, harness, wetsuit booties, sunblock, all weather gear, a pack lunch and plenty of fluid to keep hydrated. If we're sailing from Hayling seafront, bring £6 (coins) for the car park.

Location & Meeting Details

We essentially use two different locations depending on the course level, conditions and state of tide. We'll let you know which one is for your course. Should there be a change of location we'll let you know prior to the course.

Esso Beach, Langstone Harbour
Half a mile after going over Hayling bridge you'll see an Esso petrol station. Right next to the petrol station is a small lane which takes you a car park over looking the harbour. This works perfectly for high tide sessions. There are no facilities at this location, so use the toilet at the Esso or Texaco petrol station.

Hayling Seafront
We sometimes use the seafront for low tide days, because it forms a large flat water lagoon. We meet at the end of the car park, right past the Inn on the Beach at the end of the beach huts next to the golf course. Don't forget to bring some coins for parking meter. We launch in front of the golf course.

Testimonials

"Thanks for a most enjoyable, enlightening and challenging couple of days - not sure why I've left it 22 years before taking to the water again, but great fun and very rewarding."

Stuart from Itchenor

"I am well chuffed with what I achieved with your help and I came away from the course with all boxes ticked. I'm not exaggerating when I say that you completely transformed my sailing from someone who was nowhere near the straps on a 145l board to someone who was flying around, fully committed in the harness, feet in both straps on a 113l board and feeling pretty relaxed about the whole thing. The course was exactly the right balance of talk, analysis, demo and doing - it exceeded my every expectation and I will definitely be back. All I did was turn up, listen to what you told me to do and things just clicked into place – brilliant!"

Ty Owen

"That's great thank you. It was having the back hand as far back as I could stretch made all the difference and changing the feet earlier. It makes such a difference now as I'm not getting as tired and its makes a huge difference on the wave board in wave conditions."

Doug Jack

Thanks to you , I feel a lot more comfortable planning in choppy conditions now (and may even shorten my harness lines more – and NOT grip the boom so tightly when hooked in). Then back to working on my gybes"

Dave Taylor

Had a great week, think i might be finally “getting” one or two things........I will be gybing next time I see you in a foreign land and love the “new” tack. Thanks for all your effort
