Daymer 6th-9th July "Cornwall Summer Adventure' coming soon!
We are looking at adding a 'Summer Freeride Adventure' to Daymer and surrounding area. This experience is a superb opportunity to get Windwise coaching with guiding for sailing at Daymer and local beaches. You will develop your windsurfing and learn how and where to sail in Cornwall. The priority is windsurfing, but we will also go optional biking, WindSUPing, surfing and loads more adventures to enjoy Cornwall to the full!
Daymer 14th-17th Sept 2017 (Fully reserved)
Our September Daymer Bay Adventure is a now fully reserved. We will be adding another Sept session 2018. It's a windsurfing holiday/course designed to offer both flat water Freeriding, intro-to-wave experiences and give you a fabulous windsurfing in Cornwall. It's the perfect way to get to Cornwall, explore new windsurfing venues, develop your windsurfing skills and learn how to get into sea and wave sailing.
Beautiful location, great windsurfing, surfing, SUPing, biking, pubs and accommodation with pool, jacuzzi & tennis courts - it's the perfect long weekend!
Who's it for?
If you would like to go windsurfing in Cornwall and aren't sure where to go and want guidance on tides, launching, locations and get your Freeride and Wave technique to flourish, then this WINDWISE Cornwall experience offers all that and whole lot more!
The Holiday & Coaching
The aim is to immerse ourselves for four days in great locations, windsurf and introduce you to wave sailing skills and wave environments. Daymer offers both flat water and waves, so it is the perfect location to dip your toe into the wave scene. We cover choosing the right spots, tide times, Freeride skills and also encountering waves, jumping, riding and any other aspect of the sport! If the wind is light, then we'll either do WindSUPing, surfing, biking and still have a great time! We've been doing these West Country trips for nearly ten years and they are always popular, memorable and eventful sessions with a great bunch of windsurfers.
Course criteria Sept Freewave: You must be able to waterstart and wind or no wind - be up for a great adventure!
Course criteria July Freeride: You must be able to waterstart and wind or no wind - be up for a great adventure!
Cornwall Adventure Ethos
We have done these West Country trips for about 10 years and whilst windsurfing is our primary aim, the trip goes ahead regardless of conditions. So if the wind isn't on our side, we'll do a mix of light wind skills and drills, but we'll also add in other locals activities (SUPing, biking, surfing and more!) to make sure we have an active adventure.
Other Holiday Highlights
Regardless of conditions, this trip goes ahead, so take all the toys! So as well as the windsurfing expect amazing country pubs, wine tasting, surfing, WindSUPing adventures, biking, hiking, BBQ's and a few surprises along the way!
The optional self catering accommodation has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, tennis courts, BBQ. We book 2-3 cottages in a fabulous complex, approximatley 10 mins from Daymer. They're self catering, so we have communal breakfasts, our annual 'cook off' and visit a great pub within walking distance!
What should I take?
All your windsurfing kit (no large or camber induced sails allowed), really recommend a SUP (if you have one), mountain bike and a bottle of wine with a story linked to it! If staying in accommodation, bring some simple breakfast things for first morning and a towel.
