After having to postpone the first clinic in El Tur due to the Icelandic Volcano, we thankfully were able to run our additional week with a whole host of new moves and a Master Blaster for Windsurf 4 Cancer Research!

2010 El Tur, Egypt Freewave Clinic

After having to postpone the first clinic in El Tur due to the Icelandic Volcano, we  thankfully were able to run our additional week in El Tur. With planing winds every  day apart from one, we had a fantastic week on the water and great hospitality  from Danielle, Phil & Dan and the rest of the staff. Everyone great progress and use of the conditions! (All photo's from El Tur by photos Danielle Lucas)

There were some notable performances from Jim, Liam, Penny, Tony, Valerie & Colin all getting to grips with duck gybing. Penny got so close she’s sure to break her duck soon. Jim, Valerie & Tony lost count how many they made and Colin is still in disbelief after a duck gybe on his first attempt!!!!! It just shows what Windwise Skills & Drills can do for your stronger wind windsurfing. We missed Liam on the last day as he flew home a day early, so we did a few extra runs for him on the Master Blaster. Finally, you may remember James Siddalls from ‘James’ Jumps and Gybes’ features in Boards? Well, he’s now on the verge of adding Spocks to his repertoire, he’s a whisker away from sailing away from them! Good job James, see you in Morocco…

Whilst many parts of the UK were supporting the Sunrise2Sunset Windsurf for Cancer Research, we were having our last super windy day in El Tur. So the Windwise clients and staff from Ocean Source got out on the water to make many new moves and create a special Master Blaster Fundraiser for Cancer Research.

With flat out runs around the bay in stunning conditions everyone made full use of their last session in El Tur. With personal donations and extra contributions from Windwise and Ocean Source, they raised £175 in just one hour? So, big thanks to those who took part for this worthy cause.

Colin carves one of many gybes!
