Team Windwise enjoy NWF @ Rutland

With a new venue for the first time in 10 years, we all turned up to NWF 2017 with an open mind plenty of enthusiasm . If anyone has sailed at Rutland, they will know what a beautiful location it is. Wide open water, rolling hills and lush green country side all around - it also turns out to be a fabulous venue for NWF!

With over 200 hundred entrants, loads of activity on the water, grassy camping, blazing sunshine, a touch of rain, marginal breezes and some really great wind for a last day blast, you have to say it was a success. In fact, it couldn't have better conditions as it gave those new to the sport a chance to get out and the more experienced sailors to savour a decent blast. Plus there was plenty of clinic action, (don't forget your 'Warrior'), great food, a neon air display and everyone wanting more next year.

We had a great turn out with over 50 people in the 'Team Windwise'. Many were totally engaged and really relished the time on the water and our Windwise base. A few others were 'slightly' hung over from either one or both Friday & Saturday night parties, but everyone seemed to have a great time, which is the main thing.

As ever we had the Starboard Windwise Tandem in full sport mode, with trips across the reservoir and a some aerobatic displays. Well done to the Team Windwise members who made the podium in many of the races. Well done to all!

Thank you for your support and being part of the Windwise Team 2017. Also thanks to everyone who came to say hello looking, good to see you and look forward to catch up on the water. Finally, as ever, thanks to Starboard / Severne for bringing some fabulous demo kit.
